I graduated from Semmelweis University in 1996. I graduated in internal medicine in 2001 and in gastroenterology in 2003.
I defended my Ph.D. thesis in 2004 and started working in private practice in the same year.
Within gastroenterology, my narrow speciality is the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis) and so-called gluten-associated diseases (celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity). These two diseases are often discovered in childhood, and in many cases these children are asked to take over care when they reach adulthood (this is the so-called transition).
In my practice, many people come to me for investigation of various food intolerances or suspected food allergies, complaints of reflux or ulcer disease, or functional digestive complaints (such as irritable bowel syndrome).
Also in the field of gastroscopy and colonoscopy, my annual number of examinations falls into the high volume category, following international terminology.
