Anaesthetic consultation is part of the pre-operative assessment. The anaesthesiologist will determine whether you are fit for surgery and, in consultation with your fellow surgeon, will decide on the type of anaesthesia to be used. The anaesthetist will stay with you throughout the operation, and in the case of anaesthesia, until you wake up, to monitor your condition. The consultation with the anaesthetist will include a review of your laboratory findings, chest X-ray and ECG results. All these tests can be done at the Wáberer Klinik.
