One of the steps towards this goal is online prepayment. By paying for your service at the time of booking, you can focus solely on your health during your visit. Additionally, if there is a price increase before your appointment, you will not be affected, as you have already secured the cost of your care in advance.

What are the advantages of prepayment?

Prepayment not only enhances the efficiency of our services but also offers several benefits to you:

  • More available appointments: Prepayment helps reduce the number of missed or canceled appointments, freeing up more time slots for other patients.
  • Price guarantee: The amount you pay in advance locks in the price of your service, ensuring that you receive your test at the rate specified at the time of booking, even if prices change later.
  • Convenience and efficiency: Prepayment streamlines many administrative tasks ahead of time, allowing you to save time on the day of your appointment and focus solely on your health.
  • A conscious decision: By booking with advance payment, you are encouraged to carefully select your specialist, leading to a more thoughtful and effective healthcare experience.
What kind of cards I can use for paying?

We accept VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, and Revolut cards for online prepayment. However, prepayment with a health fund card is currently not available.

What is the process of card payment?
  • To complete the reservation via the website or the email sent to you, you will be redirected to SimplePay’s secure payment page. Here, you will need to provide your bank card details, including the card number, cardholder’s name, expiration date, and for some cards, the CVV2/CVC2/CID 3 or 4-digit security code.
  • For your security and in compliance with card company regulations, Wáberer Medical Center (WMC) does not access or store your card information. However, your name, address, phone number, and email will be shared with SimplePay.
  • If you confirm your reservation via the email sent by WMC with online payment, you must complete the payment within 3 hours. After this time, the payment link will expire, the reservation will be considered unsuccessful, and the booked time will be canceled.
Will I receive a confirmation e-mail if the prepayment was successful?

The patient will receive two confirmation emails from SimplePay regarding the payment: the first confirming the successful authorization of the payment, and the second confirming the successful completion of the payment. The reservation is finalized once the second email, indicating the successful payment, is received. Each bank card transaction has a unique transaction identifier, which ensures accurate tracking of the patient’s prepayment. This identifier will be included in the emails from SimplePay.

How should I schedule an appointment if I’m not sure what type of
examination I’m in need of?

Feel free to contact us by phone; we are happy to assist you in selecting and scheduling the appropriate examination.

What do I need to pay special attention to?
  • For telephone reservations: after booking, you will receive a payment link, allowing you to prepay for the examination within 3 hours. The reservation will only be finalized once payment is completed. If the payment is not made within 3 hours, the appointment will be automatically canceled. If this occurs, feel free to contact our customer service to reschedule by phone.
  • Cancellation/modification policies: these can be found during the booking process in the information windows, below the booking windows, in our General Terms and Conditions on our website, and in the confirmation emails sent to you. For telephone reservations, our team will inform you of the cancellation and modification terms.
Which examinations cannot be done without doctor’s recommendation, referral
or laboratory test results?
  • Examinations Requiring a Referral: Due to regulations, many of our examinations require a referral or written recommendation from a specialist, specifying the exact test needed (e.g., CT scans, X-rays, MRI for children under 18, breast screening, and bone density measurement for individuals under 35). Before booking, please carefully review the information in the reservation window on our website, or contact us with any questions.
  • Laboratory Results for Contrast Exams: All CT and MRI exams with contrast require recent laboratory results indicating normal kidney function (creatinine, eGFR), dated within two weeks prior to the examination.
  • Lung Screening: For adults, lung screenings (low-dose chest CT/chest X-ray) may be performed once per year without a referral, upon request, provided no such exam has been conducted in the past year.
  • Mammography: Mammograms will not be repeated within a year upon patient request.
What can I do if I do not have a referral or required laboratory test results
but I have already paid for the examination?

Before making a reservation, please carefully review all the information provided in the reservation window on our website or contact us with any questions. Without a written recommendation from a specialist, a referral, or valid lab results (if required for the test), we will be unable to perform the test, and we cannot refund the prepaid amount.

You can have the necessary laboratory test performed at our facility, even on the day of your appointment. Please notify our customer service in advance if you need a quick kidney function test with immediate results.

If you do not have a written recommendation or referral, you may schedule a specialist examination with one of our own specialists for an additional fee. For examinations of children under the age of 18, the presence of an accompanying adult is required. Please note that we do not perform CT or MRI examinations on children under the age of 12.

How does the health card payment work?

Prepayment with a health fund card is currently not possible, as these cards do not support advance transactions. Instead, please pay for the service in advance with a bank card. You can then submit the invoice issued on the day of your examination to your health fund for reimbursement.

What happens if I cannot attend to my appointment, or I have to cancel my appointment?

If case you cancel your appointment at least 72 hours before the scheduled examination using the link provided, the examination fee will be automatically refunded to the bank card used for payment within 3 working days. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the appointment are not eligible for a refund.

Is it possible to reschedule my appointment?

If you request a change to your appointment time within 72 hours before the examination, we will be unable to accommodate the change and the examination fee will not be refunded.

If you request a change to your appointment time at least 72 hours in advance, there will be no charge for the change.

How are late arrivals managed?

In the event of a delay, please note that we may not be able to provide your treatment to ensure that subsequent patients are not affected. Refunds are not available for missed appointments due to delays.

Are there any exceptions when the servie does not have to be prepaid?

In the following cases, advance payment for the service is not required. To book an appointment, please call our telephone customer service or your contact person if you:

  • Are a patient with international insurance / use a direct billing service
  • Have a gift card
  • Have an annual card
Are there any exceptions when I can pay in person at the clinic?

If, during your examination, it is determined that additional tests are needed (e.g., extra X-rays, ultrasound, etc.) and these are performed on the same day, on-site payment will be required for the additional examinations.
