Hip replacement implantation is performed by anterior exploration without muscle transection, which has been shown in the literature to result in less pain and faster rehabilitation for patients following the procedure. Uniquely in Hungary, he performs not only primary orthopaedic implants, but also a significant proportion of revisions (hip replacement) and the treatment of accidental cases (femoral neck fractures and post-fracture conditions) using this modern, fast healing method. He is one of the most experienced anterior hip surgeons in Hungary, having performed more than 5,000 anterior hip replacement surgeries, and is active – in addition to the PTE Traumatology Clinic providing trauma care – at the Wáberer Orthopaedic Centre.
He has been working in musculoskeletal surgery for more than a decade and a half, with experience at the University of Pécs Orthopaedic Clinic, then the Traumatology and Hand Surgery Clinic, and in the USA. Currently he is also a head of department at the Traumatology Clinic in Pécs and head of the prosthesis working group.
His field of interest is hip and knee joint diseases, including hip and knee replacement.
