My family is made up of generations of doctors, my father is a surgeon, my mother a family doctor, and I have inherited their love of medicine and their commitment to patients.
I graduated in general medicine from Semmelweis University and in 2014 I passed my first specialist examination in surgery. From 2010 to 2021 I worked at the Department of Surgery, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery at Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital, first as a resident and then as a consultant surgeon. After obtaining my surgical qualification, I aimed to master plastic surgery, a profession that requires extensive knowledge of anatomy, creativity and a sense of beauty. I spent my practical training at the Hungarian Defence Forces Medical Centre, the Szent Imre University Teaching Hospital, the National Institute of Oncology and the Bethesda Children’s Hospital. I obtained my second specialisation in plastic and burn surgery in the autumn of 2021.
I consider medicine not just a job, but also a vocation. I am convinced that up-to-date knowledge, knowledge of the latest procedures, a complex and holistic approach and a successful combination of many different human and professional factors are necessary to be able to heal authentically and effectively as a doctor. In my work, I pay particular attention to developing an honest and equal relationship with those who honour me with their trust. It is important to me that the doctor-patient encounter takes place in an atmosphere of trust, and I consider it a priority to provide patients with detailed and understandable information and education.
During my professional career, I have been involved in the preparation of several national and international papers and publications, of which I am first author on six of them. Since 2007, I have regularly participated as a student and occasionally as a speaker at national and international congresses on surgery and health economics. In my “civil life” I am a mother of two daughters.
