FTC, COG, Silhouette Soft fibre facial firming treatment

The FTC, COG or Silhouette Soft fibre threading treatment is a non-surgical procedure that achieves immediate, long-lasting results without allergic reactions, without incisions, using 100% natural biolifting fibres.

(FTC) Thread Lifting, also known as Fine Thread Countur, is a highly effective skin rejuvenation procedure. It is a much less invasive procedure than plastic surgery, combining the techniques of thin thread lifting and traditional Eastern acupuncture.

COG Thread Lift

Another form of bio-absorbable fibre treatment, where Cog (hooked) fibres are used for more significant facial tightening, lifting and support.

Cog fibres have a hooked structure with tiny ‘spikes’ on the fibres, invisible to the naked eye, in 2D or 3D spiral form depending on the fibre, which grip the tissue to lock the lift in place

Thanks to the wide range of Cog fibre types (thickness, serration, shape, length), this treatment offers increasingly spectacular results.

The results are visible immediately after treatment, but the treatment takes longer to take effect. The full effect takes months to develop. The results of a facelift can last for 1-2 years.

In which cases is it recommended?

Threading is used when the aim is to achieve more significant facial tension, lift and hold.

How does the FTC fibre treatment work?

During the procedure, a bio-absorbable antimicrobial fibre that can be broken down by the body is injected into the skin. These fibres consist of polydioxanone or polyglycolic acid, which has been used for decades in medical procedures for absorbable sutures. No skin test is required before insertion.

The procedure involves the injection of thin fibres into the skin, which trigger regeneration processes in the appropriate layer of the skin (causing micro-injuries), stimulating the body’s own collagen production and promoting wound healing.

How long does it take and how long does the effect of FTC fibres last?

Your doctor will advise you on the optimal amount of fibres to use, depending on the size and condition of the area to be treated. Collagen production starts from 6-8 weeks after the fibres are inserted, with a gradual noticeable effect lasting up to 25 months, but individual reactions vary.

Are there any contraindications to FCT treatment?

Like all treatments, FTC threading may have contraindications, which include:

  • Acute or chronic skin conditions
  • Anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant drugs
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding
  • Diabetes
  • Coagulation problems
What are the possible side effects of the treatment?
  • bruising,
  • swelling,
  • redness,
  • increased sensitivity.

These symptoms typically resolve spontaneously within 1-15 days.
