My name is Dr. Gábor Fülöp, PhD, consultant cardiologist. Over the course of my three-decade career, I have gained extensive experience at some of the world’s and Hungary’s most prominent medical centers. I completed my residency training at NYU Medical Center in New York and subsequently worked for more than 15 years as a consultant physician in the United Kingdom, including at the Cambridge University teaching hospitals within the NHS.
Between 2003 and 2009, I served as Head of the Hemodynamics Laboratory at the Városmajor Heart and Vascular Center. Since 2009, I have been practicing as a consultant and interventional cardiologist at the Gottsegen György National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.
With several thousand cardiac catheterization procedures performed, my private practice offers a high level of diagnostic confidence. As an interventional specialist, I am able to accurately determine when medical therapy is sufficient and when further catheter-based or surgical intervention is warranted. My goal is to apply the expertise gained at both international and national centers of excellence directly to the benefit of my patients’ recovery.
